+ How much does an NJ Medical Cannabis card cost?

$100. However, if you qualify under one of the following categories, you are eligible for the reduced fee of $20.

• Senior Citizen, age 65+

• Military Veteran (Submit DD-214 Form)

• Social Security Disability (SSD) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI)

  • Submit the "Verification of Benefits" letter from SSA.GOV

• NJ Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

• NJ Medicaid

• NJ Temporary Disability Benefits

• Medicare - Under the age of 65

 

+ Does Dr. Levy accept insurance?

Dr. Levy does not accept insurance at this time, but she will gladly send you a bill which you can then submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

 

+ How long does it take to get my NJ medicinal marijuana card? 

After the initial consultation and registration with the NJDMC, it takes about 2-3 weeks to receive your card in the mail.

 

+ Can I go to any dispensary in NJ? 

Yes.

 

+ What about recreational marijuana??

As you may know, recreational marijuana became legal in NJ as of the recent 2020 election. Recreational marijuana is now available at many dispensaries, however, Dr. Levy strongly feels that medical guidance for patients trying medical marijuana for the first time is extremely important for their safety. Working with an experienced physician throughout the process offers patients and their families the peace of mind that they will have a safe medical plan and that their progress will be reviewed regularly.  Dr. Levy will also communicate with your current physicians to ensure that your treatment plan is safe and effective.  In addition, medical marijuana will be less expensive than recreational marijuana, and the taxes on medical marijuana have been removed. Dispensaries also prioritize many products for their medical patients before they can be released to the recreational buyer.
